We added grape seed oil to Skinhug following Thai FDA guidance. It makes the formula lighter, easier to spread, and better for baby skin in Thailand's climate. Full story here.
If you’ve looked closely at our ingredient list, you may have noticed grape seed oil in the formula.
It’s there on purpose.
Not as a filler. Not as a trend ingredient. And not because we wanted to make the formula sound longer on paper.
We included grape seed oil because it helps Skinhug feel lighter, spread more easily, and work better for delicate skin in warm, humid weather.
When we were developing Skinhug, one thing mattered a lot to us: the oil had to feel genuinely good to use in real life.
That meant it had to be:
We didn’t want an oil that felt thick, sticky, or hard to spread. We wanted something that still felt nourishing, but softer, easier, and more breathable on skin.
Grape seed oil helped us get there.
Grape seed oil is naturally lightweight and fast-absorbing. In a seed oil blend, it helps the whole formula feel less heavy and easier to spread.
That matters even more in warm weather, when rich oils can sometimes feel like too much.
Grape seed oil is naturally rich in linoleic acid, an essential fatty acid that helps support the skin barrier and reduce moisture loss.
For baby skin, that matters. Their skin is thinner, more delicate, and loses water more easily than adult skin.
A good oil blend isn’t just about having nice ingredients. It’s also about how those oils work together.
Some oils bring richness. Some bring slip. Some bring calm. Some help keep the overall texture feeling light and comfortable.
Grape seed oil helps bring that balance to Skinhug.
With baby skincare, texture is not just about preference. It affects how a product fits into everyday life.
If an oil feels too heavy, parents tend to use too much, or avoid using it as often as they want to.
If it spreads poorly, massage becomes more effort than comfort.
If it sits on top of the skin for too long, it can feel sticky in heat.
We wanted Skinhug to feel like something you’d actually reach for every day. Not something you save for “when you have time.”
Grape seed oil helps make that possible.
Adding grape seed oil doesn’t change what Skinhug stands for.
The formula is still:
Grape seed oil is not a new direction. It’s part of why the formula feels the way it does.
Grape seed oil is in Skinhug for a simple reason:
It helps the formula feel lighter, absorb better, and support delicate skin in a way that makes sense for everyday family life.
Nothing extra.
Just one more ingredient doing its job well.

If you like clean, calm, simple care for your whole family, Skinhug is made for you.
